The Portuguese centre-back on loan from Benfica scored one of the three goals with which Hajduk Split beat Rijeka (3-1) in the final of the 2021/22 edition of the Croatian Cup.

Rijeka scored first, in the 12th minute, for the Swiss Josip Drmic, but, in the 24th minute, Ferro re-established equality.

Still in the first half, Dario Melnjak completed the comeback, in the 36th minute, with everything getting even more complicated for Rijeka in the 41st, when Hrvoje Smolcic saw the second yellow card and was sent off.

In the second half, against 10, Hajduk Split still reached the third goal, with Melnjak scoring twice in the 56th minute.

Hajduk Split won the Croatian Cup for the seventh time, and the first time since 2012/13, reinforcing the second place in the ‘ranking’ of the competition, behind Dinamo Zagreb, which has 16.
